HELPING SUBSCRIBERS DURING THE SOUTHERN CALIFORNIA WILDFIRES
During the recent wildfire emergency in Southern California, OnStar's Crisis Assist service was there to provide emergency assistance to many of the approximately 240,000 OnStar subscribers in the seven-county area affected by the fires. Subscribers in this area were given access to any and all OnStar services at no extra charge, regardless of their subscription package. Crisis Assist advisors had thousands of interactions with subscribers in the area. These interactions included:
- Evacuation routes and shelter locations were provided to those who needed them
- Emergency service providers were contacted and sent to needed locations
- Approximately 20,000 Hands-Free Calling minutes were provided at no charge
- Connections to family and loved ones were provided
